The service of a search warrant has resulted in one arrest and the seizure of three pounds of methamphetamine.
On September 9, 2014 the Lake County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) with the service of federal search warrants and arrest warrants in Middletown, Santa Rosa and Petaluma. On September 9th, at approximately 10:30 am, DEA Agents and members of the Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force responded to an address located in the 15000 block of Main Street in Middletown to serve a search warrant. During the search three pounds of methamphetamine was located and seized. 34 year old Hugoberto Quintanilla of Santa Rosa was arrested for possession and distribution of methamphetamine. He was later transported to a federal holding facility in San Francisco.
The service of the Federal search warrants and arrest warrants was the culmination of a six month joint investigation related to the importation and trafficking of methamphetamine into Lake County. One additional suspect was arrested during the service of search warrants in Santa Rosa and Petaluma.
The Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force will continue its efforts to eradicate narcotics from the communities of Lake County and seize the suspected profits of drug trafficking for the asset forfeiture whenever possible.
