Wewoka Homicide Suspect Arrested
A Seminole County Sheriff’s deputy has arrested a suspect in an overnight homicide in Wewoka. A deputy spotted Jesus Sanchez, Jr. (d.o.b. 4/12/1969) walking to the apartment complex where the murder took place and arrested him. Sanchez was taken to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office where OSBI agents interviewed Sanchez about the stabbing death of 23-year-old Durrell Fulbright inside an apartment at 116 E. 8th Street. Fulbright, of Wewoka, was pronounced dead at a Holdenville hospital. After interviewing numerous people who were inside the apartment during the stabbing, investigators began looking for Sanchez, who had fled the area. Early this afternoon, he returned to the scene of the crime.
Sanchez was arrested on a complaint of first degree murder and booked into the county jail where he awaits formal charges. Sanchez is also from Wewoka. A booking photo will be released when it becomes available.
