On 9-12-14, at about 3:17 AM, an APD officer stopped a silver Pontiac for a traffic violation in the 4200 block of Gem Lake Road. The officer noticed an odor of marijuana in the vehicle. A search of the driver led the officer to discover that the man was carrying a .38 caliber revolver on his person. A search of the vehicle yielded a clear bag that contained about 11 grams of what is believed to be methamphetamine on the front seat. The driver, Jack Lynn Lambert WM 59 of Amarillo was placed under arrest. He was booked into the Potter County Detention Center on charges of possession of a controlled substance over 4 grams but less than 200 grams and felon in possession of a firearm.
