On September 11, 2014 at 7:23 p.m., The Burlington Police Department received a report of a robbery at the Crow Book Shop located at 14 Church Street in the City of Burlington, Vermont.
Witnesses advised that on September 11, 2014 at approximately 7:20 p.m. a 5’6”-5’9”, Caucasian male, with a medium build, dark hair and light facial hair came into the store. The male had his hands in his pockets but gestured as if he had a firearm in his pocket. The suspect attempted to rob the store clerk by placing them in fear for their safety but fled the area before garnering his desired item.
The suspect was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt at the time of the incident and his face was partially hidden by the hood. The suspect was last seen fleeing north on Church Street and then east on Pearl Street.

§ 608. Assault and robbery
(a) A person who assaults another and robs, steals, or takes from his or her person or in his or her presence money or other property which may be the subject of larceny shall be imprisoned for not more than 10 years.
(b) A person who, being armed with a dangerous weapon, assaults another and robs, steals or takes from his or her person or in his or her presence money or other property which may be the subject of larceny shall be imprisoned for not more than 15 years nor less than one year.
(c) If in the attempt or commission of an offense under subsection (a) or (b) of this section, a person causes bodily injury, such person shall be imprisoned for not more than 20 years nor less than one year. Any penalty imposed under this subsection shall be in lieu of any penalty imposed under subsection (a) or (b) of this section. (Added 1973, No. 73, eff. 30 days from April 14, 1973.)
