Mountain Lion seen at end of Blackburn St heading into Neary Lagoon at 2130 hours. Contact Police if sighted. Area closed as precaution. 
A mountain lion sighting was reported to the Santa Cruz Police Department around 930 PM on 9/11/14. The Puma was reportedly seen in the Neary Lagoon area behind Blackburn St. Neary Lagoon area closed as precaution.
Residents are advised to use caution and secure small pets and children. The Santa Cruz Police Department is patrolling the area looking for signs of the puma. A reverse 9-1-1 call was placed to residents in the area to advise. Fish and Game Wardens were notified and responded.
