McDowell County Sheriff’s Office investigators need the public’s help identifying four people believed to have assaulted a couple of Old Fort residents while fishing on Sunday, Sept. 7.
Wesley Lipe, 19, and Joshua Lipe, 33, both of Old Fort, reported that they and three other people went fishing near the dam on Old Fort Finishing property shortly after 3 p.m.
There were already four other people at that location.
Wesley and Joshua told deputies that the two men who were at the fishing spot when they arrived became confrontational. One reportedly hit Wesley on the cheek with his fist, knocking him unconscious. Both male suspects brandished knives, and one cut Joshua’s forearm, leaving a minor scrape.
Following are the suspects’ descriptions:
-- White male, approximately 50 years old, heavy set, 5’8”, 240 pounds, red hair and a red scraggly goatee
-- White male, approximately 30 years old, medium build, 5’10”, 140 pounds, brown hair, tattoo sleeves on both arms and a tattoo on his neck
-- Native American female, approximately 30 years old, 90 pounds, jet black hair
-- White female, approximately 50 years old, heavy set
They left the area in a 1990’s model four-door Chevrolet Malibu, red or burgundy with silver trim around the bottom.
