The Sheriff's Homicide Detail wants your help in solving the murder of Patricia Lee Kuzura. The seven-year old girl was murdered almost 40 years ago this month.
Patricia was last seen walking home from her baby sitter's home in Poway on the night of September 28, 1974. She never arrived.
The following morning, a group of young boys found Patricia's body in a field next to the First Baptist Church near Midland and Hilleary Roads. Her body was found about five blocks from her home on Putney Road.
The cause of Patricia's death was attributed to blunt force trauma. Investigators say the apparent motive for the crime was of sexual nature.
Despite a thorough investigation at the time, no arrests have ever been made in this case.
