Lieutenant charges couple from Gastonia with multiple felony drug offenses 
Lt. Chris Taylor of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 37-year-old Jeremy Wayne White and 34-year-old Stephanie Nicole Sutton, both of Gastonia, with one felony count each of possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, sale and delivery of a Schedule II controlled substance and maintaining a vehicle to keep a controlled substance.
Taylor said, on Friday, Aug. 29, the pair sold 40 Alprazolam, an anxiety pill, and 40 Adderall, used to treat attention deficit disorder, to an undercover officer.
After the transaction, the suspects’ vehicle was stopped on Interstate 40 and the two were taken into custody.
The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office narcotics unit aided in the investigation.
