Board of Water Supply (BWS) crews continue to repair the broken main at 908 Hahaione St., way up in Hahaione Valley.
Due to the close proximity of the break to a water valve, the BWS had to further extend its water closure to include an additional 18 homes. There is a water wagon located at 936 Hahaione St., in addition to the one located at 892 Hahaione St., for the 34 homes currently without water.
The main, originally installed in 1973, broke late last night, forcing the closure of the Hahaione St. between Ainapo and Nana Honua Streets, during the repair. The BWS asks that motorists please use an alternate route to avoid the area if possible.
