The robbery happened at a Home Depot in the 12000 block of Tech Center Drive in Poway on September 6th just after 10:00 p.m. An employee saw Ignacio Brambila stealing power tools and hiding them in an empty baby stroller. The employee followed Brambila out of the store and asked him if he paid for the items. Brambila then pulled out a spray can. Using a lighter he ignited the fluid, directing it at the employee. The employee was not hurt.
Deputies were called and noticed a car leaving the area and conducted a traffic stop. Brambila was arrested along with his wife, Sarah Brambila. Also in the car was the couple's 18-month-old child. The child and the couple's two other sons at their residence in Lakeside were taken into protective custody.
