9/5/14, press release: Assault and Robbery

On September 5, 2014 the Burlington Police Department took a report of an assault and robbery that occurred at approximately 2:00 AM. The victim was walking on N. Champlain St. near the intersection of Sherman St. when she was approached by two unidentified men. The suspect demanded a cigarette from the victim. The victim refused and the suspect assaulted her and stole property from her. The suspect is described as a black male between 25 and 30 years old who is between 5’10” and 5’11”, with shoulder length braided hair and wearing a black t-shirt, jeans, and black sneakers. The suspect’s acquaintance is described as a black male between 25 and 30 years old and taller than the suspect, with a shaved head and wearing a v-neck shirt and basketball shorts.

The Burlington Police are offering a significant cash reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect.
