Pomona Police Department's Vice Unit Makes 24 Arrests
The Pomona Police Department’s Vice officers have continued to focus efforts on the City’s Vice related concerns. As a result of their efforts 24 arrests were made during the month of August. (18) individuals were arrested for “Loitering with the Intent to Commit Prostitution.” (4) arrests were made for the crime of “Prostitution.” (2) arrests made for lewd acts. Lastly, one juvenile was recovered after being found to be involved in prostitution activities.
Nationwide the crime of human trafficking continues to be of great concern. The Pomona Police Department’s Vice officers continue to collaborate with other state and federal agencies in an effort to protect juveniles from victimization. Most of these arrests continue to occur in the area of the East Holt Avenue corridor.
