Sonoma County Sheriff's Deputies arrest Windsor parents for having children around a dangerous drug-making operation.

On September 3, 2014 at about 1:30PM, Deputies and Detectives went to an address on Pedroncelli Drive in the Town of Windsor, to conduct a probation search on one of the residents, 29 year old Marcus Osuna-Jones. The Deputies went there to conduct a search, pursuant to the terms of his probation. As they approached the house, they saw and smelled fresh marijuana growing in the backyard.

They came to the front door and were greeted by an aggressive pitbull and a 27 year old woman named Megan Gibbons. She is a resident of the home and has children in common with Osuna-Jones. Gibbons lied and said Osuna-Jones wasn’t at the house; only she and her children were.

Shortly after Gibbons denied Osuna-Jones presence, he came through the house from the back porch and was met by the Deputies.

During the search deputies found a loaded .38 caliber revolver in the living room next to the television. The loaded pistol was right above the children`s toys and was easily accessible to the four year old and two year old children who lived in the house.

Deputies also found a loaded shotgun inside the house, leaning in a door frame in the kitchen. The firearm was also easily accessible to the children.

There was a small-sized refrigerator the kitchen. This refrigerator was unlocked and easily accessible to the young children living in the residence. It was filled with packaged candies which were laced with marijuana. There were also numerous edible candied items such as lollipops, muffins, chocolate, popcorn and meat jerky, intermixed with marijuana, in reach everywhere in the kitchen.

There were numerous canisters and containers of hazardous chemicals in plain reach of the young children. There was an active butane extraction hash oil laboratory inside a bedroom closet which was emitting strong chemical odors. The butane is extremely flammable. There was cash inside the bedroom as well.

The Deputies also discovered a marijuana growing operation located inside the attached garage and in the backyard. There were over 100 hundred plants within.

There was an active butane extraction hash oil laboratory in the backyard as well as more than 40 more marijuana plants. Pounds of processed marijuana and concentrated cannabis was inside the household.

Both areas were open and available to the children. There is a public park nearby the backyard.

The chemicals and methods for processing hash oil requires the use of poisons and extremely flammable materials, such as the butane. All of which pose a significant danger to any person in the vicinity of such an operation. Because of the extensive and risky environment, Detectives from the Narcotics Investigations Unit were summoned to the scene.

The interior of the residence was extremely filthy. The carpet was incredibly dirty and soiled. There were containers of hazardous chemicals on the floor in the kitchen dining area.

Due to the fact the two young children had been living inside this dangerous and unhealthy environment, Child Protective Services responded to the scene. The children were taken into protective custody.

The three dogs on the property were collected by Animal Control.

Osuna-Jones was placed under arrest for, child endangerment, hash oil laboratory, possession of firearm during the commission of a felony, cultivation, sales, possession of concentrated cannabis, and violation of the terms of his probation.

Gibbons was arrested child endangerment and obstructing a peace officer.

Both Gibbons and Osuna-Jones were transported to county jail where they were booked and later posted bail. They are scheduled to appear in court on September 8, 2014 at 8:30 AM.
