A citizen called in to report that occupants of a vehicle in front of a local business were drinking and creating a public disturbance. When the officer arrived on scene, he detained two people in the vehicle and learned that they both had outstanding warrants. During the officer’s preliminary investigation, he discovered codeine pills, morphine tablets and two illegally possessed firearms. He arrested one of the occupants of the vehicle. The Oakland Police Department thanks our community members for reporting potentially dangerous situations.
