Deputies Arrest Child Predator.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies have arrested and charged a 51 year-old man in an attempted abduction of an 11 year old girl yesterday in far west Harris county

On Thursday, August 4, 2014, deputies were dispatched to a call at 199 Baker Road in far west Harris County. The caller stated a male subject, now identified as Charles Graas (DOB 06/10/63), attempted to lure her daughter into his truck as she was walking past his vehicle after exiting a school bus.

Deputies say that Graas was sitting in a pickup truck in the Value Inn parking lot when the juvenile was walking towards a waiting family member.

The suspect attempted to get her attention by calling her over to the vehicle. The girl kept walking past Graas; he then exited his vehicle and walked over to her and grabbed her by the shoulder.

The girl then pulled away from him. He again tried to grab her wrist.
She screamed and ran from him.

She fled to a waiting parent and told her what happened.

Graas then fled to the inside of the motel where he was located by deputies and returned to the scene.

The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and made aware of the facts of the case. The charge of enticing a child was accepted.

Charles Graas is currently being held on a $25,000 bond and his first court date is set for August 8, 2014.

His mug shot is attached.
