Building relationships with the community - one slice of pizza at a time! Friday Night Lights on Friday, Sept. 12th.
The Menlo Park Police Department (MPPD) invites the community to our own version of “Friday Night Lights”. This community loves football, and so do the officers of MPPD! Join us on Friday, September 12th at the Neighborhood Service Center (871 Hamilton Avenue) to enjoy some pizza, get to know each other, and have some fun.
The night will begin with a community “tailgate party” from 5:30-6:30 for anyone who wants to stop by and enjoy the festivities (pizza, popcorn, soda, and water will be provided). We will be introducing our officers, as well as recognizing the local Menlo-Atherton Pop Warner team "Mitey Mite". The MPPD team will be there to talk and give away memorabilia.
One of the keys to Friday Night Lights success will be to remove the physical barriers between our officers and residents, and it happens outside of the crisis situations that routinely define interactions between law enforcement officials and community members. MPPD’s Friday Night Lights’ event will allow for relaxed interactions in a friendly and fun atmosphere, so please stop by. Let’s get ready for some football!
