Injury traffic accident while under the influence, child endangerment.

On Monday, September 1, 2014, at 8:08 PM, officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Sherman Avenue for a vehicle which had flipped over in a dry canal. Upon arrival officers located two juvenile passengers on the canal bank. The juveniles had minor injuries and told officers there was a female adult trapped inside the vehicle. Officers located the driver, Cathy Ivory, pinned inside the drivers side of the vehicle. After being extracted from the vehicle, Officers determined Ivory was under the influence of alcohol and admitted to drinking and using drugs prior to the accident.

Ivory and the two juveniles were transported by ambulance to the AMC Hospital in Hanford for minor bruising and cuts. After being released from the hospital, Ivory was booked into the Kings County Jail for the charges of being involved in an injury accident while under the influence of alcohol and child endangerment. Her bail was set at $150,000.00 dollars.

Child Protective Services responded to the hospital and took custody of the two female juveniles.
