Arrest: Felon In Possession Of A Firearm. 
On Saturday, August 30, 2014 at approximately 0700 hours, Corcoran Officers contacted a male subject sleeping on the grounds at 1700 Dairy Avenue (Willow Lakes). The subject, identified as Juan Alvarez, was intoxicated. Alvarez is currently on parole and is a known gang member in the City of Corcoran.
Officers observed Alvarez attempting to conceal an object located on his person. Officers were able to detain Alvarez and located a loaded .38 caliber revolver in his pocket. The revolver had been reported stolen out of Madera in December 2013.
Alvarez was arrested, transported, and booked into the Kings County Jail. Alvarez was charged with Felon in possession of a firearm, Gang member carrying loaded firearm, Possession of a concealed firearm, Felon in possession of ammunition and Possession of stolen property. Due to Alvarez committing the offenses while on parole, a no bail hold was issued by the California Department of Corrections Parole Department.
