Happy Labor Day from Mayor William Laforet. School safety tips. 
Summer 2014 is drawing to a close and that wake up alarm you hear on Thursday September 4th will be for the opening of the Mahwah Public School System. Please remember some basic tips. Allow yourself extra time in the morning to reach your destination. With the opening of school there will be increased traffic around school areas. Watch for and be aware of our school crossing guards. Obey posted speed and direction signs. Watch for children walking to and from school. Never pass a stopped school bus that is displaying red flashing lights. I hope you and your family had a safe and enjoyable summer.
