On August 29, 2014 at approximately 10:54 p.m., deputies from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported armed robbery that had just occurred at the Stony Point Market located in the 3200 block of Stony Point Road, Santa Rosa.

A clerk on duty at the market reported a male adult entered the business and confronted him with a semiautomatic handgun. The armed suspect verbally ordered the clerk to give him all the money out of the cash register. The clerk complied with the armed suspects demands and removed an undisclosed amount of money from the market’s cash register and gave it to the suspect.

The armed suspect fled from the market on foot in an unknown direction of travel. Deputies arriving at the scene conducted a neighborhood search in the vicinity of the market with the assistance of a Sheriff’s Office canine unit but the suspect was not located.

The suspect was described as male adult wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, black pants, and he had a cloth masked covering his face at the time of the robbery.
