RAPE SUSPECT IS IN CUSTODY 
**** The suspect wanted for Rape in this previous message as been taken into custody in Monterey County the investigation is ongoing****
On August 28, 2014, at approximately 3:45 PM, officers from the Torrance Police Department responded to a call of a rape that just occurred. Officers contacted a female who indicated she met the suspect, Guy Dietz at a residence in Torrance. Dietz falsely identified himself as an undercover police officer and proceeded to forcibly rape the victim.
Dietz fled the scene and attempts to immediately locate him were unsuccessful.
Approximately 8 hours later, CHP located and attempted to stop Dietz’s vehicle near King City, CA. Dietz led CHP and Monterey County Sheriff’s Deputies on a pursuit into the city of Soledad, CA where he ran out of his vehicle. Dietz is not in custody at this time. There is an active search for Dietz in Monterey County.
Torrance Police Department investigators are working with the Monterey County Sheriff’s Department in locating the suspect who is identified as being Guy Dietz, 43, 6 feet, 200 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes and is a convicted sex offender.
