On 08/27/2014, a cell phone, charger and drugs were discovered in the jail's inmate housing area during a search. An immediate investigation began resulting in an arrest today of CGL maintenance employee Pharoah Davis Johnson. Mr. Johnson is being charged with 1-count, Felony, Possession by, delivery to inmate of, or bringing within guard lines drugs, weapons, alcohol, or other prohibited articles. 1-count, Felony, Possession with Intent to Distribute. & 3-counts, Misdemeanor, Possession by, delivery to inmate of, or bringing within guard lines drugs, weapons, alcohol, or other prohibited articles .
The Clayton County Sheriff's Office will continue to provide a safe and orderly environment for inmates as it does for the residents of Clayton County.
