Narrative:
On August 30th, Ventura Sheriff’s Office / Ojai Police Department will be conducting drunk driving and driver license checkpoints at several locations in the Ojai Valley. “Avoid the 14” represents the 14 Ventura County law enforcement agencies who participate in the program funded by a California Office of Traffic Safety grant. The goal of the checkpoints is to increase highway safety by deterring drunk driving and insuring only licensed drivers share the roadway.

Law enforcement officers from across the county will be assisting the Ojai Police Department with this checkpoint.

The Ojai Police Department would like to remind everyone to consider all options; do not drink and drive, utilize a designated driver, or call a taxi.
