A look back at the crimes reported in the Newhall area last week.
On Saturday the 23rd, a 21 year old female was arrested in the 25000 Peachland Avenue for strong arm robbery and shoplift burglary after stealing purses and a belt.
On Wednesday the 20th, a 28 year old male was arrested for attempted carjacking and possession of methamphetamine in the 24000 block of Lyons Avenue.
On Sunday the 24th, a resident in the 24200 block of Cross Street reported he had been assaulted in his residence by 7 unknown males. The victim reported one of the males used a baseball bat during the assault. The whereabouts of the suspects is currently under investigation.
Between Wednesday the 20th, and Thursday the 21st, a commercial yard in the 22200 Placerita Canyon Road was burglarized. The chain link fence was cut and several containers were pried open.
On Friday the 22nd, between 9:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., a vehicle was burglarized in the 24600 block of Wiley Canyon Road. The driver’s side window was smashed and a lady’s red leather purse was stolen.

Between Saturday the 16th, and Monday the 18th, a 2004 GMC truck was stolen from the 24900 Walnut Street. The vehicle was recovered on Thursday the 21st, by LAPD Foothill Division.
Between Friday the 22nd, and Saturday the 23rd, a boy’s black and gray “Diamond Back” bicycle was stolen from the 23500 block Lyons Avenue.
Remember to lock your doors and windows, don’t leave valuables in plain view, be aware of your surroundings, and report suspicious behavior.
