Noble County Man Jailed After His Indoor Marijuana Growing Operation Was Discovered
(Noble County, IN)-The Indiana State Police arrested a man from southern Noble County yesterday afternoon following an investigation into an alleged indoor marijuana growing operation inside of a barn on the man's property.
According to Trooper Andrew Mills, on or about August 5th of this year, he received information indicating that Thomas D. Royer, 47 of rural Churubusco was growing marijuana inside of a barn located in the 5900 block of south County Road 200 E.
With the assistance of Detective Joe Hutsell from the Noble County Sheriff Department, Mills' investigation culminated in the execution of a search warrant on Royer's property yesterday at approximately 2:30 p.m. Troopers allegedly located approximately 300 grams of cultivated marijuana, 86 marijuana plants and other equipment commonly associated with the growing of marijuana.
Noble County Prosecutor Steven Clouse formally charged Royer with the following:
• Dealing Marijuana, Level 6 Felony
• Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Level 6 Felony
• Possession of Marijuana, Class B Misdemeanor
Royer was taken into custody and is currently incarcerated in the Noble County Jail.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
