Jackson County: This morning at approximately 11:45 a white male entered the Peoples Bank at 310 North Armstrong St. in Crothersville and robbed the bank of an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a white male, 5’8” to 6 feet tall, approximately 175 to 200 pounds wearing a “Mr. Rogers” T-shirt, camo shorts, camo ball cap, with short “buzzed” red hair. The suspect did not display a weapon.
Approximately one hour prior to the Crothersville robbery, the Centra Credit Union located on South Jackson Park Drive in Seymour was also robbed. The description of the suspect in the Seymour robbery matches that of the suspect in the Crothersville robbery with the exception of the Mr. Rogers T-shirt. The suspect in the Seymour robbery was described as wearing a blue plaid, collared shirt however investigators from the state police and Seymour Police Department believe the same suspect robbed both banks. This is the only information available at this time. More information will be released as it becomes available.
