Three ISP Troopers from Lafayette Recognized at Awards Ceremony
Indianapolis – Yesterday afternoon the Indiana State Police Department held an awards and recognition ceremony in Indianapolis. The ceremony publicly recognized the achievements and deeds of self sacrifice and accomplishments that all too often go without the proper recognition. Members of the Indiana State Police Department, from around the state, were honored for their dedication to service, bravery, and devotion to the department and the citizens of Indiana.
Trooper Michael P. Krueger, who works from the Indiana State Police Lafayette Post, was recognized as the 2013 Trooper of the District for dedication to his job, traffic and criminal enforcement, community involvement, instructor ratings, specialty assignments and other services performed for the department beyond normal expectations. He was selected by the command staff at the Lafayette District. Krueger has worked for the state police for over eight years. His patrols include the counties of White, Carroll, Clinton and Tippecanoe.
Trooper Kenton L. Wainscott, also assigned to the Indiana State Police Lafayette District, received the Indiana State Police Life Award for his commitment to removing impaired drivers from Indiana roadways. In 2012 he led the Lafayette District with 46 impaired driving arrests. Wainscott is a seven year veteran of the Department who patrols the counties of White, Carroll, Clinton and Tippecanoe.
Trooper David P. Millburg, also assigned to the Indiana State Police Lafayette District, received the Indiana State Police Life Award for his commitment to removing impaired drivers from Indiana roadways. In 2013 he led the Lafayette District with 85 impaired driving arrests. Millburg has worked for the Indiana State Police for over three years. He patrols the counties of Benton, Warren, Montgomery and Fountain.
“These three troopers are just an example of the type of officers that work for the department,” stated Lieutenant Tom McKee. “Their work and dedication to the people of Indiana and to the Indiana State Police are second to none and deserve the respect and recognition brought upon them today!”
