Board of Water Supply (BWS) crews have completed repairs to a broken valve for an 8-inch main on South Street in Kakaako. Water service was restored to all of the affected customers at approximately 8:20 p.m.
Two mauka-bound lanes on the Diamond Head side of South Street between Queen Street and Halekauwila Street will remain closed as crews repair a section of the roadway. Barring any unforseen circumstances the closed lanes will be re-opened in approximately two hours.
The BWS would like to thank the community and area motorists for their patience and understanding as crews worked throughout the day and into the evening to restore water service.
