Arrest Made for Making Criminal Threats, Brandishing a Weapon and Vandalism.

On Friday, August 22, 2015 at 6:02 PM, CPD officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 1800 block of Dairy Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance of a male subject threatening his girlfriend with a knife. On arrival, officers detained a male subject inside the apartment who was seated in the kitchen near a knife on the kitchen
table.

The male subject was identified as Daniel Guzman (age 26) and determined to be intoxicated. A female subject was contacted inside the apartment who advised Guzman began arguing with her in the living room and damaged her laptop computer by slamming it down on the floor. The female victim stated Guzman then went into the kitchen to grab a knife and threatened her. The victim stated she then ran and locked herself in the bathroom to get away from Guzman. The victim’s juvenile sister was in the apartment during the argument and witnessed Guzman threatening her with the knife.

Guzman was arrested for making criminal threats, brandishing a weapon and vandalism. Guzman was later booked into the Kings County Jail with a bail amount of $60,000.00.
