Man Wanted For Attempted Luring

LOCATION: West Park Avenue and Whalepond Road
OFFICERS INVOLVED: Police Officer John Hanna and Detective Bryan Morgan
NARRATIVE:
On 8/21/14 at approximately 8:19 pm, Officer John Hanna responded to the area of West Park Avenue and Whalepond Road in reference to an unknown male who attempted to lure two juvenile boys, ages 11 and 12, into a van. The subject approached the victim's and yelled to them to come over to the van. The boys ran away and notified their parents who contacted the police.
The driver was described as a white male approximately 40 years of age with a balding hairstyle having small strands of hair on the side of his head. The subject had a light beard described as “scruffy”. The van was a white passenger van with regular sized front driver and passenger windows. There were also smaller tinted windows that went along the side of the van. The victim's reported seeing a small amount of rust on the rear driver side and middle portion of the van. The van was last seen driving southbound on Whalepond Road.
