Advisory

Green Bay Police Gang Task Force and assisting agencies announce arrests in nine month long investigation.

The Green Bay Police Department Gang Task Force, and several other local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, have completed a nine month long investigation into the activities of the Bay City Latin Kings street gang in Brown County and other areas of northeast Wisconsin.

This was a complex investigation into a group of individuals who had created a formal organized group, with a hierarchy of command, and rules and regulations the members were expected to abide by. Members were required to perform work in furtherance of the gang, which included the distribution of drugs, and required to pay dues to the gang. During the course of the investigation the structure and leadership of the organization changed. This required investigators to adjust their strategy and techniques which made this a complex and lengthy investigation.

This investigation began in November of 2013 after Green Bay Gang Task Force officers gathered credible intelligence on the gang. A multi-jurisdictional task force was formed when it was learned that their activities were occurring in several areas of our region.

On August 19, 2014, we served several warrants and arrested Michael Dylan Doxtator, age 26, on multiple charges. He was identified as the leader of the gang.

As a result of the investigation we have confiscated a significant amount of Schedule II narcotics (oxycodone), marijuana, and crystal methamphetamines. We have also seized three vehicles, electronic equipment, and cash from people that have been charged.

At this point of the investigation, eight subjects have had charges referred to the Brown County District Attorney’s office on a wide range of felony and misdemeanor charges.

The Gang Task Force mission is to create a safe environment and improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods by reducing gang activity. We believe that with this investigation we have significantly dismantled this gang and have sent a message to others involved in this activity in our region. We are committed to our mission and ask for the public to join us to eradicate these groups. If you see anything suspicious that you believe is gang related please report it, we will actively and aggressively pursue these groups.

This is an ongoing investigation with more arrests expected in the coming days. More information and names will be released at a later date.
