APD COPPS officers arrest wanted fugitive Friday afternoon on numerous charges.
On Friday August 22nd at 2:20pm, APD COPPS officers were checking various locations on a wanted fugitive. Officers received information that the wanted person was possible in a vehicle in the 1000 block of S Pryor. Upon arrival in the area, officers observed an H/M sitting behind the wheel of a vehicle in front of a residence and immediately recognized the male as the wanted fugitive. The male was taken into custody and was placed in a patrol car. While officers were conducting their investigation, they learned the vehicle the suspect was sitting in (a 2007 BMW 325i) was reported stolen in July from a local car lot. During inventory of the vehicle officers also located a small baggie of what appears to be methamphetamine. The driver is identified as Jorge Troncozo H/M39. Troncozo was transported and booked into Potter County Correction Center on charges of UUMV (Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle); Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1 less than I oz; Bond Surrender warrant for Burglary of a Habitation; Bond Surrender warrant for Theft of Property over $1,500; Bond Surrender warrant for Evading Arrest/Detention; and two local Municipal warrants.
