GTPD NEWS ALERT: Pedestrian Struck By Hit And Run Driver Sicklerville Rd at Jarvis Rd, Police Asking For Public's Assistance

On Sunday night, August 24, 2014 at approximately 10:00 PM, a 22 year old man was walking along Sicklerville Road near the intersection of Jarvis Road, across from the Strawberry Square Shopping Center, when he was struck by a car believed to be travelling westbound on Sicklerville Road. The car did not stop and is believed to have fled on Sicklerville Road towards Route 42.

The victim was seriously injured and was found along the side of the road. The victim was transported to Cooper Hospital Trauma Center in Camden, NJ, and was reported to be in "critical but stable" condition. The identity of the victim is not being released, pending notification to family members. The vehicle is believed to have had sustained significant front end damage and/or a shattered windshield. No other description of the vehicle is available at this time.
