*Update*Death Investigation, 43000 Block of 27th Street West, Lancaster, #LASD-Homicide

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a male adult that occurred on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 3:27 A.M. in the 43000 block of 27th Street West, Lancaster.

Detectives have learned that the suspect, 23 year-old Garrett Adams, a resident of Lancaster, was arguing with his girlfriend at the residence. The suspect’s brother and a friend, later identified as the victim, arrived at the residence and tried to intervene. The dispute continued outside onto the sidewalk, where the suspect then armed himself with a hunting bow and arrow, shooting the victim once in the upper torso.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect was arrested for murder and booked at Lancaster Sheriff’s Station in lieu of one million dollars bail.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) Homicide detectives are en route to the 43000 block of 27th Street West, Lancaster, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a male, Black adult.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A male adult has been taken into custody.
