False Bomb Threat at #Chaffeycollege Suspect in Custody for Making a False Bomb Report

On August 21, 2014 at about 12:54 pm, Deputies responded to Chaffey College after 21 year old Nicks reported he saw a white male wearing a vest with anti-government slogans in possession of a bomb. Numerous personnel from the Rancho Cucamonga Station, including patrol, traffic, MET, Detectives, ACT, Victoria Gardens, Bomb and Arson Detail, and Chaffey College Police arrived on scene and established a command post with the Fire Department. An extensive search of the campus was conducted, but no evidence of any threat was found.
Investigation revealed Nicks provided false information. Nicks was subsequently arrested and booked at Central Jail for making a false bomb report.
