SANTA BARBARA COUNTY – Approximately one thousand cyclists will participate in the Santa Barbara Triathlon this weekend and will use portions of the state highway system within the cities of Santa Barbara, Montecito, and Carpinteria on Saturday, August 23, between 7 am and 12:30 pm in the following locations:
•State Route 150 between State Route 192 and Gobernador Canyon Road.
•State Route 192 between Sheffield Drive and State Route 150.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be on scene to ensure the safety of motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians. Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
