Franklin County DUI Task Force conducting DUI checkpoint on Friday Aug.29, 2014 in Waynesboro Area 
Washington Township Police Department along with Franklin County DUI Task Force to participate in Labor Day Holiday Weekend DUI Enforcement
Franklin County, PA—The Washington Township Police Department today announced that the Franklin County DUI Task Force will conduct a DUI Checkpoint on Friday August 29, 2014 in the Waynesboro Area as part of the state’s participation in a National DUI Enforcement crackdown for the Labor Day Weekend.
The Franklin County DUI Task Force consists of Washington Township Police, Waynesboro Police, Greencastle Police, Shippensburg Police, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Mercersburg Police & Chambersburg Police.
PennDOT data shows in 2012, there were 11,956 alcohol-related crashes in Pennsylvania, and in the same year, there were 3,306 drug related crashes statewide, with 126 fatalities in those crashes.
