San Bernardino- 71 Year Old Man Arrested and Charged for Continuous Sexual Abuse of Two Minors

INCIDENT: PC 288.5(a) - Continuous sexual abuse of a minor
LOCATION: County area of San Bernardino and City of Highland
SUSPECT: Manuel Rivera Hernandez, 71 years old, San Bernardino
VICTIM(S): Confidential - Two female juveniles
SUMMARY:
In June of 2014, Central Station deputies received a report from two victims that Manuel Hernandez sexually abused them while in his care several years ago. During the investigation, detectives determined Hernandez repeatedly abused the girls over a four year period, between 2008 and 2011. During that time, the girls were under 14 years of age and in his care almost daily. The acts occurred in several locations in San Bernardino County.
On Thursday, August 21, 2014 Hernandez was arrested for violation of Penal Code 288.5(a), Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Minor and booked at the Central Detention Center. He is being held on $350,000 bail.
