Five Year Old Drowns in Bathtub

White County-Yesterday at approximately 6:09 p.m. White County Dispatch received a 911 call of a child who allegedly was found in a bathtub not breathing at 1118 W. Hanawalt Road near Monticello, IN.

Initial investigation by Master Trooper Detective Jay Harper has revealed that a family member found Ian M. Davidson, 5 in the tub. The 911 call was made and a neighbor, who was a paramedic, came and started CPR. Monticello Fire and Rescue arrived and transported the child to Indiana University Health White Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was then transferred by Lifeline Helicopter to Riley Hospital in Indianapolis where he was pronounced dead at 1:54 a.m. this morning.

Eric Davidson 33 and Julia Moore 25, the parents of Ian where living at the residence and were there at the time of the drowning. This is an ongoing death investigation with no charges being filed at this time. An autopsy was today and results are pending.

Assisting at the scene were Sergeant Jerry Holeman of the ISP Criminal Investigation Division, Sergeant Duane Datzman ISP Crime Scene Investigations Division, White County Sheriff’s Department, White County Coroner’s Office and the Monticello Fire and EMS.
