Trooper from Fort Wayne Post Recognized for OWI Enforcement Efforts

(Indianapolis, IN)-A Trooper from the Indiana State Police post in Fort Wayne was recognized yesterday at an awards ceremony held at the Indiana Government Center for his efforts in the realm of OWI Enforcement.

State Police Superintendent Douglas G. Carter recognized Corporal Matt Lazoff with the Department's Meritorious Service Award for taking 82 drunk drivers off of Indiana roadways in 2013.

This is the second time that Lazoff has been recognized with this Award. In 2011, as a Trooper assigned to the Toll Road post, Lazoff recorded 75 OWI arrests and received the Award in 2012.

"Lazoff's committment to the safety of Indiana's roadways is not only exemplary, but reflects the committment that the agency as a whole has to the service of the communities that it serves" said Lieutenant Tony Casto, Fort Wayne District Commander.

Picuted is Corporal Matt Lazoff
