APD COPPS officers arrest fugitive after traffic stop.

On Wednesday August 20th at 12:50pm, APD COPPS officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 700 block of I-40 West. COPPS officer recognized the driver and knew that she had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. Upon stopping the vehicle, they positively identified the driver as the wanted individual and immediately removed her from the car and placed her under arrest. During the inventory of the vehicle prior to impoundment, officers located a small baggie of methamphetamines in the suspect’s purse. Also located in the purse were several pieces of identifying information not belonging to the driver along with narcotic paraphernalia. The driver is identified as Leticia Michelle Delgado H/F 32 of Amarillo. Delgado was arrested and booked into the Potter County Correction Center on charges of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance over 1 gram less than 4 grams; Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information under 5 pieces; the local municipal traffic warrant and Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia.
