Suspects Arrested With Forged Bank Cards
Ripon Ca. – On 08-18-14, at approximately 1pm, a suspect entered the bank of the West at 411 W. Main St. and attempted to use forged bank cards to obtain cash. The suspect was unsuccessful in his attempt. Police were notified of this incident. At approximately 1:45 pm, officers were advised that another suspect had returned to the bank, trying to use the same forged bank cards. Ripon officers observed the suspect leave the bank. The suspect’s vehicle was stopped as it left the scene. Three occupants were found to be in possession of forged bank cards. Several suspects were in possession of forged out-of-state drivers licenses. The suspects were taken into custody without incident.
Prince Jamiel Ash (27) of Los Angeles, was booked into the San Joaquin County jail on charges that included conspiracy, forgery, providing false identification to a police officer, and theft.
Troy Anthony Goodwin (43) of Fresno, was booked into the San Joaquin County jail on charges that included conspiracy, forgery and for providing false identification to a police officer.
George Roberts Jr. (27) of Madera, was booked into the San Joaquin County jail on a conspiracy charge.
Department spokesperson, Lt. Steve Merchant said the quick resolution of this case was due to the close cooperation between local businesses and the police department.
