Pendleton – Detective Scott Jarvis was recently promoted to the position of Detective Squad Sergeant here at the Pendleton Post. Jarvis, a 15 year member of the Indiana State Police, was chosen for his new position based upon a competitive selection process that included written testing, oral interview, seniority, education, and past job performance.

Jarvis, a Cambridge City native, graduated from Lincoln High School in 1995 and from Ball State In 1999 with a B.S. Degree in Criminal Justice. In 1999 he joined the Indiana State Police and was assigned to the Fort Wayne District.

He later transferred back home to the Connersville District and was promoted to Detective in 2004. Jarvis served as a detective there and here at the Pendleton Post until his recent promotion. Jarvis resides in Henry County.
