SONOMA COUNTY SHERIFF DETECTIVES ARREST SERIAL CAR THIEF

On August 18, 2014, at about 10:00AM, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes Detectives, CHP, and the Cloverdale PD responded to 26600 block of Asti Road in Cloverdale for follow-up on a vehicle theft and stolen property investigation.

Detectives arrested Alejandro Murillo, age 23, of Cloverdale, for two counts of vehicle theft, two counts of possession of stolen vehicle, and one count of possession of stolen property. Murillo had property in his possession that had been stolen from several businesses in Cloverdale during the past few weeks.

While on scene, a vehicle parked in front of the residence was determined to have been stolen from a residential burglary in Geyserville.

Murillo was booked into the Sonoma County Jail for aforementioned charges and his bail was increased to $50,000.00, due to his recent crime spree.

During the course of this investigation, Detectives learned that Murillo had been arrested in Ukiah on 07/29/2014, for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Resisting Arrest. He was arrested again in Modesto on 08/04/2014, for Possession a Stolen Vehicle.
