Four New Troopers Assigned to the Putnamville District

Putnamville—Indiana has 46 new troopers assigned to state police districts throughout the state now patrolling the roads. Members of the 73rd Indiana State Police Recruit School that graduated on May 1st, 2014 received their patrol cars today at the Indiana State Police Youth Education and Historical Center, located at the Indiana State Police Indianapolis District.

The troopers received approximately 917 hours of structured training at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Their curriculum included; administrative subjects, general police subjects, investigations/criminal subjects, criminal and traffic law subjects.

The new troopers then completed a three month field training period with seasoned troopers where they were observed applying the knowledge and training that was gained at the academy and applying it to real life situations.

The four new Putnamville District troopers are:

James W. Crisp, age 25, is a Hendricks County native having graduated from Brownsburg High School. Crisp then entered the Indiana National Guard where he has served for five years. During his military service Crisp was deployed to the country of Haiti for the New Horizon Mission. Crisp is single and enjoys basketball and all-terrain vehicles in his spare time. Crisp will patrol Putnam County.

Shayne R. Roman, age 24, is a Vigo County native having graduated from Terre Haute North High School. Roman is a five year veteran of the Indiana Air National Guard currently serving with the 181st Intelligence Wing in Terre Haute. Roman is single and enjoys physical fitness, golfing, and basketball in his spare time. Roman is assigned to patrol Sullivan County.

Timothy J. Henning, age 22, is a Morgan County native and graduated from Plainfield High School in Hendricks County. Henning is a graduate of Anderson University with Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Henning is single and enjoys playing sports in his off time. Henning will patrol Sullivan County.

Kyle M. Hall, age 23, is an Owen County native and a graduate of Owen Valley High School. Prior to the ISP Recruit Academy, Hall served three and one-half years as a Telecommunications Operator (Dispatcher) at the ISP Region III Dispatch Center located at the Bloomington Post. Hall is married with two daughters and enjoys sports of various disciplines in his free time. Hall will patrol Clay County.

Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
