Full Notification

A representative with the Oklahoma County jail requested OSBI agents investigate an inmate death that occurred Saturday afternoon. When jailers were alerted to a problem with a female inmate, paramedics were called to the facility. They found the woman unresponsive. Jail staff then called OSBI for an investigation. The inmate's next of kin have not yet been located and notified by jail staff; therefore, her name will not yet be released. The Oklahoma City woman was incarcerated for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Even though foul play is not suspected, the state medical examiner's office will preform an autopsy.
