Compton Station, City of Compton, MADMAC Foundation and Renita's Chicken and Grill to host a back to school back pack giveaway (first 300 in attendance) in conjunction with the opening of Renita's Chicken and Grill at 1501 N. Long Beach Boulevard from 1:00pm-4:00pm, Saturday, August 23, 2014. Additionally free haircut coupons will be offered on a limited basis courtesy of St Julian Barber Shop located at 107 N. Long Beach Boulevard.

Renita's Chicken and Grill specializes in Fusion Barbeque that is fresh and fast. Rene Acevedo the chief culinary expert has over 25 years experience that includes International recognition from Zagat and Mobil Four Star Awards as a chef at Wyndhaam Belage Hotel. Rene's partner Sonia Fleming has over 35 years in the restaurant industry owning and managing restaurants such as McDonald's and Denny's to name a few.
