Sobriety Checkpoint Nets One Impaired Driver
Vanderburgh County – Indiana State Police conducted a sobriety checkpoint between 11:30 last night and 1:30 this morning in the 3900 block of Broadway Avenue. During the two-hour period, troopers arrested one impaired driver and issued three tickets and four warnings.
Troopers arrested Brittany Schneider, 24, of Evansville, after she failed to stop at the checkpoint and nearly struck two troopers. Further investigation revealed she had a BAC of .15%. She was arrested and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail. Schneider was released this afternoon after posting bond.
