The 23rd Annual Hot Nights & Cool Rides car show will be taking place in Downtown Forest City, NC on August 16, 2014. Starting at 5:30 am on August 16, 2014, Cherry Mountain Street will be closed from Trade Street to Main Street. At 7:00 am, Main Street will be closed from South Broadway Street to Church Street. The event participants will be allowed enter the blocked off area for event participation. The streets will remain closed until approximately 10:00 pm and/or at the conclusion of the event and after the streets have been cleaned by Town crews.
Those traveling through Forest City in the Downtown area should anticipate moderate to heavy traffic congestion during the event hours. Drivers should use caution for the considerable amount of foot traffic walking on sidewalks and crossing roadways.
Those traveling on Main Street wishing to bypass the event may do so by traveling on Trade Street and/or Oak Street.
