Warrick County Fugitive Arrested, Two Other Women Arrested for Assisting a Criminal
Warrick County – A felony arrest warrant was issued out of Warrick County Circuit Court on August 7 for April Miller, 33, of Evansville. Miller was wanted for two counts of Dealing Methamphetamine, both Class A Felonies.
Indiana State Police and the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force obtained information that Miller was staying at the Ausbrooks’ residence located at 5922 Stacer Road, Newburgh. Officers went to the residence yesterday and met with Jamie Ausbrooks, 32, but received information that Miller was not at the residence. Later that day, officers received information that Miller was at the residence and was hiding in Ausbrooks’ attic.
After receiving the additional information, Officers were able to obtain a search warrant for Ausbrooks’ residence. At approximately 4:15 this afternoon, officers arrived at the residence on Stacer Road and were met at the front door by Carol Ausbrooks, 66. Officers attempted to get Miller to come outside, but they were receiving information that Miller was not inside the residence. After several attempts to get Miller to exit the residence, Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Deputy Bryan Bishop warned anyone in the house that his K-9 was going to be deployed. Within a few seconds, Miller exited the residence and surrendered. Miller was arrested and taken to the Warrick County Jail where she is currently being held without bond. Carol and Jamie Ausbrooks were arrested for Assisting a Criminal. They are currently being held in the Warrick County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
